Ovulation test sticks... do they work???!!

I have been ttc since January this year, with no luck, so today after my period came again... i bought the clearblue ovulation test stick thingys.... anyone had any luck with this????? Thanks xxx

have you tried Persona? its actually targeted at those trying not to get pregnant rather than those who are ttc but works well both ways. the reason its better than the 7 day sticks is it works by 'getting to know' your body cycle. you do a urine sample for about 16 days in your first cycle, then less and less in subsequent cycles,building a long term picture of your fertility. It can also pinpoint when you are about to ovulate. I found it helpful because i ovulated outside the 7 day period that the clearblue sticks showed and the Persona highlighted that. has worked twice for me - have now 2dc. would thoroughly recommend but does not work for very long or extremely short cycles.
