Hello All
Please be gentle with the newbie (longtime lurker!)
I have a question about cervical mucus. I started taking EPO and Starflower oil (combined together in one capsule)about 2 or 3 months ago, since then my cm (previously plentiful and good quality) has dried up.
I had a bad cycle last month with 2 weeks of awful breast pain and raging PMT. The reason I started taking the epo+starflower oil was to combat pmt in the first place!
I had started a pretty strict weight loss diet so I put down the rogue cycle to that but now I am not so sure. I came straight off the diet anyway just in case.
I noticed the cm really drying up in the last 6 weeks, so much so that I began to think maybe I was getting early menopause (I am 36, Mother got menopause at 52 so unlikely but possible) I went to the doc and am getting tested next month on day 3 for fsh and day 18 for progesterone. He didnt give me a physical examination, what other reasons other than early menopause could it be?
Could it be a yeast infection...?
My periods are fairly regular (about 25 days) and I am sure I am ovulating. I got some EWCM for about 1-2 days last month but nothing for the rest of the month.
Thing is I am getting really fed up with this dryness now, its all the time and its really affecting my sex life. My partner is starting to notice, I just want things to go back to normal.
I also take vitamin E, a B complex, calcium and folic acid.
I only found out today I should not be taking the EPO throughout the month due to the contractions thing.
Has anyone any ideas why the CM has suddenly dried up, I am TTC so thats stressful enough but the sex problem is making it 10 times worse.
We had been using a lotion for lube, just a body lotion, could that be the cause?
I know about the preseed stuff but the price is prohibitive and as we have sex every day I could not afford to use it as a lube.
