My Story: had two boys with my abusive ex when I was 19 and 23. Am now 33, have a wonderful dh and a dd who is 2 and 5 months. She was born after 18 months of trying and being diagnosed with PCOS. We used Clomid and I was lucky and got pgn first time.

Got pgn by ourselves in August 2007, but had a horrific mc in Nov 2007. Have not managed to conceive since then apart from a possible cp in September.

Now we have started using Clomid again and I am on my third cycle. Started to believe it might not happen at all.

Get low each month when my period comes and still feel grief over mc. I don't feel that I can talk to anyone as my best friend is single and going through a painful rollercoaster of trying to adopt and my sister, who I'm usually close to, is 4 months pgn.

It would be nice to share this journey with others in the same boat.

Hi Mummycat! I have never been diagnosed with PCOS but suspect I have some of the symptoms. I have similar story to you. 2DDs 3 and 5. 5yo was conceived after TTC for 3.5 years and 2 months on clomid. Now been trying for 2 years for DC3.2 MCs last year. It's so hard to keep going, getting your hopes up every month. It's quite affecting my DH now too. The only thing that keeps me going, and I'm sure it's the same for you, is my 2DDs. I know it will all be worth it in the end. AND if it sin't meant to be then I have my beautiful family... though another one would be nice.

Hope you get some good news soon. Take care x

Hello Jaamy. You have such a similar story to me. I've found one MC very difficult to deal with so I feel for you having two. I've moved onto a lovely thread where there are loads of Clomid people trying. It's good and supportive. Think it's called TTC on Clomid, but not sure.

Maybe see you on there soon?

Good luck xx

Thanks mummycat. It is heartbreaking, isn't it. Glad you have found a good thread to help you get through the lows...and the highs when they come.

Some friends I have spoken to keep telling me to go back to my GP and ask for clomid again but I thought they'd only fund you for one lot of treatment...and I had that 6 years ago! I've conceived naturally since then so am more likely to have to go to a MC clinic Anyway, I'm 1 day overdue on my AF so if I don't get any good news this month I think perhaps I will go down the investigations route again and you may well see me on another thread - though I hope it'll be a AN or postnatal thread! Good luck!

if you are worried about asking for clomid and you can try and ask GP for metformin it was n't licensed fro PCOS when I used it but it worked after about 6 months by regulating my symptoms.

Jaamy - in my experience you can have another bash with Clomid. Because I have children already, I have to pay £160 each month. So maybe that is an option if you don't get your BFP - good luck
