Hey all - Happy New Year! I'm looking for ex emmsys angels or anyone that has advice on cyclogest pessaries? Been advised by specialist to take them whilst pregnant with low dose aspirin, even tho all recurrent miscarriage tests showed no causes? PLease help?!?!!?

Hi

From what I've read, it seems that it doesn't hurt to have too much progesterone but having too little could be a cause of MC

I think like the aspirin - it couldn't hurt, but it might help, so worth going for.

Good luck

Hi 4ever. I'm an ex-Emmsy's Angel! Just to let you know that I'm taking Cyclogest 200mg and low dose asprin during this pg as had 2 mc before becoming pregnant. Am now 13ish weeks and all looks ok. Cyclogest will not harm you or LO in any way and will make your uterus lush and 'bloody' ie perfect environment for healthy bean to grow in. Low dose asprin allows blood to think slightly and therefore cirsulate around body (and uterus especially( more efficiently. Have been advised to take Cycolgest until 34 weeks pg as have dodgy cervix. But your con may suggest otherwise. Best of luck. xx

PS - get some panty liner as the Cyclogest does tend to 'leak' in a rather waxy manner once it has melted in your fango. I have to take mine 2 x day. You might only have to once a day. Best to do at bedtime as it doesn't leak out!

Hey there Heytheregeorgiegirl! Thanks for the spot on advice sweetie! Thats exactly what I wanted to hear! DH is picking up the prescription for me today. Thanks also for the pantyliner tip, was wondering if it was a bit messy, but its all sooooo worth it if it makes this one stick around! Fingers crossed for us both! I'll lurk around to see how you're doing! Best of luck! xx

Yes I think you are looking for me. 4 m/c at 5 weeks then 400mg 2x a day of cyclogest after BFP on 5th preg, well 6th as I already had a DC, and my baby was born completely healthy at 40+5. aM TTC again and looking forward to starting supplements again.
