Hi ladies ?
Trust me to turn what should be a simple yes or no answer into a 'who knows', has anyone else had a ?mare like this?
Me and DH decided to start trying to have a little one from January, but we were a little less than careful in mid November, and I missed my period due on the 22nd November. Now I used to be a bit irregular so I took a test on the 29th and wasn't too phased it was -ve, so unfortunately had a couple of nights out, then took a test on the 5th of Dec and it was positive - woo but eek. Since then I've done everything right, had tiredness, sore boobs and the need to go to the loo loads.
Now we went to the docs yesterday, and he did a test to see, and he said it was negative. He was very dismissive, didn't even show me the test and had us out the door in under five minutes flat - we were his last appointment of the week.
I might be totally suggestible but last night I could feel all my symptoms fading away and felt pretty low. Yet this morning I did a test and it came back +ve and as it was a digital one - it said I conceived about 3 weeks ago. I.e. maybe a week or two less than it should be. But my first pregnant was a pale line to so I wondered if I?m just not big on secreting those hormones or if he just totally screwed up the test or it was a dud, or, or I?ve lost it already or its ectopic?..
I've got to wait til Friday to have a blood test but have been warned to dash to A&E if I have pains in my abdomen which makes me think he suspects it?s ectopic, which I guess would also explain the haywire results.
Has anyone gone through something similar or can anyone reassure me? It was a locum doc he scared the shit out of me and was totally patronising, telling me 'there are lots of reasons why periods can be late' but ignoring the positive result I had recorded. He made me feel like I?d made it all up?.
Arghh, feel very stressed and alone today as my partner had to fly away on business this morning. Today have sore boobs but none of the other symptoms.... but a positive test sitting on the desk next to me.
