I used them for the first time this month and I think I got an OPK+ on day17 of cycle. The test line has to be darker than the control line and you OV 24-48 hrs after OPK+. Good luck!

Have had a long period and only really stopped bleeding today.

Am going to test daily up to CD17.

They worked for me - I kept previous days tests though for comparison purposes!

I was taking my temperature but kept forgetting I wasn't supposed to get out of bed and then do it ... I wonder if there is any point me continuing to do it anyway?

Question. I am going to use OV stick around 3. Should I lay off drinking too much water?

try not to drink too much water so as not to dilute the urine too much!

If you can bear it, maybe leave it until early evening as many women don't seem to pick up the surge until later in the day.

OK

I think I'll do it about 4.30/5.00

I ovulated on day 16 last month and then got a period 8 days later, but this month I am going to check from now until same time as last as I only checked on the one day last month and just got lucky with a positive and my cycle is a bit whack.

So was that just luck or were you spotting other OV indicators?

Have you tested negative in the past? I only ask as some women have such a high level of LH in their urine for part or most of the month so as to give a positive even when not OV IYKWIM.

8 days would be a short LP, or perhaps an anovulatory month?

Keep us posted! I am on CD9 and starting to test already, such is my urge to POAS!!

It was just luck. Basically I paid £20 for them in Dec and didn't get a positive over 6 days in Jan Cycle so I left one and forgot about it.

On 16th day (in Feb) I found it and thought - what the hell, tried it and I got a very positive positive!

thing is that even though we had sex several times before, during and after (it was around valentines day!) I got my period only 8 days later which I am guessing means I have a short luteal phase do no PFP.

Perhaps it was just a rogue LH thing?

Anyway - it's day 11 today, I have had a period for around 8/9 days (10 if you count the watery red blood yesterday) so I am not sure what's happening but I want to test over a longer period this time (Hence the cheapie sticks) just to see if I do Ovulate again!

My doctor says a 24 day cycle isn't too short but I know and 8 day leuteal phase is so am a bit worried.

Oh - I forgot to say - on the day I got the Positive I also got a lot of EWCM.

beanie If you spot EWCM or wet CM then try testing twice a day perhaps early afternoon and early evening. You have less chance of missing the surge if you do that!

ok... to be honest with my period lasting so long I wonder if I will ovulate in time but I'll keep checking
