Symptoms but BFN

originally posted this on pregnancy but should perhaps have posted here - oops new to this.
I have had loads of pregnancy symptoms for 5-6 weeks (since CD14-16) - dehydration,
feeling queasy, extreme hunger, cramping when no period due etc.. Had not been TTC so was not inventing these as hopeful signs but googled how I felt and came across mumsnet and started to wonder..
Anyway after 3 days of textbook implantation bleeding (as described on several MN threads) I had 2 days of light bleeding which I assumed was either a light AF or early MC. Cycle is between 29-38 days (very unpredictable) but bleed was approx time of AF, slightly earlier than expected. First Response test and BFN.
I then got a cold and put feeling off down to this and forgot about it.
However, in the past 2 weeks have had 2 migraines (I only ever get these once or twice a year usually). Have had a nosebleed and several bloody tissues post-blow (sorry if TMI !!) - I have never had nosebleeds before and still feeling really queasy (often after eating) although haven't actually been sick. Have also had increased white mucus some days although normal on others. Did a clearblue test at the weekend and another BFN. Am pretty sure am not pregnant but I have so many symptoms ?..I'm generally very healthy.
Is it possible the pregnancy hormone is not strong enough to be picked up on tests - how likely is this, surely not very ? I guess the chance of me having a bleed around AF time and have 2 BFNs says it all doesn't it ? Any experiences similar ?
Have I become just another "am I aren't I ?"

What CD are you on now?

It's possible that the bleeding you experienced was part of an anovulatory cycle, where you didn't ovulate but you bled differently to a period. If you're having irregular cycles, then this is quite likely. If you're ttc, maybe go see your doctor about them so they can test your hormone levels to make sure you are ovulating.

However, if you are PG the hormones should show up a few days after implantation. It can happen, but is quite rare, that the hormones are too low to be picked up by a test.

Thanks for this digitalgirl. If my bleed was not AF then would be past CD 50 which seems highly unlikely.
AF must have been particulary light last month.
Had not been ttc, however since this "episode" have had a complete turnaround and have gone from not wanting kids atall to knowing that it is exactly what I want !
Only problem ,will be convincing dp this is a good idea

sounds like you had an anovulatory bleed. they're quite common, most women have them at least once a year. can be brought on by stress (which could also explain the migraines) or illness (you did have a cold), travelling or extreme weightloss/gain.

deciding to ttc is such an exciting time! good luck with persuading your DP and come join on us in the 'ttc waiting room' or 'symptom spotting' threads.

You are probably right - could be either stress or my cold, as have been very busy at work lately. Thanks so much for taking the time to respond - was driving myself mad ! Hopefully be in the waiting room soon
