Hello!

Ok so I came off the mini pill 7 weeks ago. Decided 2 weeks ago to try for baby number 3. I haven't had a period since I've come off the pill but today I've had what I think is a implantation show. Slightly pink discharge (sorry tmi!)
I've done 2 tests both negative.

My question is if I am pregnant how long will a positive test take to show? I haven't had a period so no idea if I am or not because I've got nothing to say if I'm late or not! Anyone else experience this when coming off the mini pill?

Thanks :)

If you are pregnant and your bleed was implantation, then I would say at least a week before it will show on a pregnancy test. Implantation usually happens between 6-12dpo depending on cycle length and tests can be positive from 9dpo but most people get an accurate result from 14/15dpo. Assuming you are 6dpo, I'd give it at least another 8 days.

Great thanks. It's so difficult with not period to go by! I'll wait another week

At the risk of bursting your bubble, after stopping BF (three times) I've often had tiny spotting/pink discharge, as my hormones try to regulate themselves or I try to ovulate for the first time. Hopefully it's implantation in your case, but it never was for me. If it isn't, at least everything's sorting itself out :)

You could be right, when I came off the pill last year my periods returned no problem after 4 weeks. I've never had this long without a period unless I was pregnant. I'll wait till next week and do another test. We only decided to try again a few weeks ago so it could take a bit longer this time
