Has this happened to anyone? (Positive HPT, no HcG in blood)

Hello again.

So yesterday I posted a picture of my HPT and it was agreed that it was positive. We have been trying for 6 months, AF is now 10 or so days late whereas normally like clockwork. Bloating, excessive tiredness etc all present. With DD I didn't test positive until 8 weeks along so wasn't too concerned that it took longer than advertised to test positive, or at least I was trying not to be too concerned.

I was kept up all night with stomach cramps and sharp stabbing pains on one side. My mother, aunt and all female cousins have ALL had ectopic pregnancies so I took no chances and went to hospital.

My blood tests showed no HCG. Or "less than one". The gynae consultants opinion was that I was going through miscarriage although upon the wonderful, really enjoyable internal examination he stated everything seemed normal and that if I don't come on within another week to do another HPT!? But how can I be "definitely" not pregnant yet maybe pregnant next week?

I know there are others going through much worse than me ( to you all) but this is torture. This baby is so so so wanted and I'm so scared it will never happen.

I have nothing to offer advice wise but you have my sympathies, that sounds like a horrible position for you to be in. Fingers crossed everything works out Ok xx
