Prepping for ttc - first timer

Hi. So my husband & I have taken the decision to start ttc. My appointment to have my implant removed is 7th November. I wondered if anyone has any stories of timeframes after implant removal so I know what to expect.

Also, sorry to be naive, but the whole ovulation timings etc is new to me. We were kind of planning to just have fun trying & not put any pressure on ourselves. Famous last words. Again any advice welcome.

Folic acid. Start now. Have fun!

I haven't had any experience of implants but DH & I, too, have just made the decision to TTC. I've been taking folic acid for a week and this seems to be necessary to help a heathy pregnancy.
From what I've been reading on MN it seems to take, on average, at least a few months for bfp (but can happen very quickly of course!) so we have tried to keep the pressure off by just saying 'if it happens, it happens!'
On the other hand, I've just ordered ovulation tests from eBay to help me figure out my own body and there are apps out there too (e.g. Ovia, Fertility Friend). This time last week I had no idea about cervix height changing throughout a cycle! I was thinking of taking basal temperature but thought I'd just do the ovulation tests, even if it's just for now.

If you are regularly having sex 3 times a week you can probably go without opks at the start anyway as you should be covered throughout the month.

Thanks all. Time to buy folic acid!

I'm going to try not to obsess over ovulation but will research as worth knowing.
