Do these kits only predict the surge in hormone before ovulation and does the hormone dip before you actually ovulate or stay high? I tested on day 12 and the line was nearly as dark as the test line but then tested again the next day and the day after and the line has got lighter. If the test was correct on day 12 then I should ovulate within 24-48 hours, i.e. on day 13 or 14, but I am still testing and the line has got lighter, i.e. no hormone surge. Does this mean I have not ovulated or does the hormone dip down after the initial surge when you are actually ovulating?
