Sorry if this has been asked so many times before and I've not seen it (or been too lazy and not being able to get my head around some of the cryptic mumsnet lingo!!)

My hubby and I have been ttc for a year and have finally been referred to our local fertility clinic to find out why the fudge we haven't been successful.
Will he need to come along too? Trying to get him to do his SA was like pulling teeth lol Shock but finally got one from him and getting results next week.
What tests will they ask us to have next?

When we attended the clinic, my DH had to provide 2 samples, I had and abdominal and an internal ultrasound. That was enough to assess the situation and we were prescribed provera and clomid by appt 3. As it turned out we didn't need to use it! I was really positive about how quickly things moved...so hopefully u have the same experience!

I think it will completely depend on what area you are in. We had a lot of blood tests at the GP before we were referred. Our first FC appointment was nothing more than a form filling exercise with the nurse: lifestyle/height/weight/diet. It was then another 3 months before we saw the consultant. He ordered a AMH blood test and a HSG for me and another SA for DH. But again it will depend on your clinic and the issues you have/are thought to have. Your DH will definitely need to go along. Good luck!

Our first appointment was just a chat with us both- we had already had SA and ultrasounds done before the appointment.

They did a month of folicle tracking and then a Hsg and had another consultant appointment 3 months later. However as we have been pregnant twice in the last 6 months (lost both at 5/6 week) they won't do anything st the minute so next appointment now is in 6 months time.

Been ttc for almost 2 years.
