Dh's SA tomorrow - advice needed

Dh's giving a sperm sample tomorrow and he wants to do it at home rather than at the clinic. I'm panicking a bit as we don't have a car so it's either getting a cab or going by bicycle. The appointment is at 6:30pm and traffic is going to be a nightmare across town at that time so we're opting for going by bike. My question is how do we keep the sperm at body temperature? It'll probably be me taking his 'special delivery' to the clinic and I reckon it'll take me 40 minutes to bike there. I've tried phoning the clinic today several times but either got an answer phone or they were engaged... Any advice would be much appreciated.

I think 40 mins is at the top limit of the time they want you to get it to them, but if he can't be persuaded to go to the clinic then he should try and keep it at body temperature - not too hot or too cold. Inside a trouser pocket or your bra maybe?

The paperwork says within an hour so should be okay I was just worried it might get to hot sitting in my bra when cycling?

When DH gave his sample at the local hospital he was told specifically that there were no facilities for his sample to be produced at the hospital and had to arrive within 30 minutes of collection. We put the sample pot in the bag provided then into my jeans pocket before driving to the hospital to keep it at close to body temperature as possible.

Is the sample (complete with bag) able to fit into a thermos/thermacol container? That's what my mate's dh used.

Thermos is a good idea!

When my ex partner was told to do one he had an hour and half to get it there and they said the best place to keep it was in the waistband on his trousers

Thanks everyone, in the end I popped the container down my braGrin and off I went on my bicycle. It took me half an hour to get there so that was today's exercise out of the wayWink. Using a thermos to transport the sperm is an excellent idea unfortunately I binned mine recently otherwise I'd have used it.
