Conception

AF or not?

Ladies, help! I am confused. This is MrsMcJnr in her festive guise!

Since I came off the pill in the middle of June, I have had 27 or 28 day cycles with OV around CD17/18. AF normally arrives on 11dpo. Last cycle was odd, didn't OV until CD19 and then AF arrived 13dpo. There were other odd things too which made me think possibly that I'd conceived and that it had not implanted.

This cycle, I OVd early on CD15. On 11dpo my temp was still high but I had some spotting, not red or brown, just darker CM. I also got a horrible migraine that lasted all night and well into yesterday.

Yesterday, 12dpo my temp dropped by .2 and after a BD there was some red blood. I assumed that AF had arrived. This blood was the only blood all day. There was some spotting but it was brown and there wasn't much. I felt very queasy all day.

Today, 13dpo or Cd2, I woke up to a higher temp again. Not uncommon when I have AF but there was no blood at all. I did a test and got a BFN. I have some brown/dry spotting but nothing more.

I am not clinging to a hope here, on Friday (11dpo) I told myself it was game over but yesterday was such an odd day and I felt so weird that when I felt better last night I just assumed that AF would be here with full force today but she's not.

So am I 13dpo or on CD2?!! Thank you for your help!

Feels like I'm chasing you around MN - hope that's OK?!

Is your temperature still higher than the coverline?

Was the test you did an early test or a standard one? Did you test using the first pee of the day?

This really could be implantation MMC. It's around your AF or abit before it AF is due.

I know you don't want to get your hopes up, am a serial lurker on the conception threads so know you have had an awful time. I really really hope for you that in a couple days time you can do a test and get your BFP.

Cannot think of any other reason for the strange pattern you are having.

Also I have been told that the only reason stress can delay your AF is if you OV late but you already know when this occured (sp?)

Good luck to you hun (((())))))

Sorry Snowy!

Yes, my temp is .3 above my coverline but my pattern seems to be that it sinks the day before AF and then comes back up on CD1 it normally sinks on CD2 though.

The test I did was a Boots own early test, a midstream one and I did use it first thing.

Apparently, 68% get a BFP if they are going to get on on 13dpo so I really do think I am not pg but this is all a bit odd!

Thanky you MerryMegan . My software flagged on Friday when I had the spotting that it could be implantation but it has done that before and it wasn't.

Thank you for all your lovely wishes for me, in the scheme of things, I have been through very little, we have only been trying for 6 months but it does feel like an age! Don't be a stranger. You sound nice!

I thought that you should only count your the beginning of your cycle from proper flow, so I am inclined to say that you are still in the last cycle! I also don't want to get your hopes up, but you know that some women don't get a BFP until 21 (IIRC) DPO, so it's very possible that your hormones are not quite strong enough to get a BFP but lack of proper flow indicates to me (and you know I am no expert - just giving my opinion) that AF has not started.

Fingers and toes crossed SOOOOOO firmly for you MrsMcClausJnr!!

But 68% isn't a lot flower and you said yourself the other day, that some women don't get their BFP right up until they are 20 DPO.

See told you am a major lurker on thoses threads

Oh and one more thing... probably no help at all... But haven't you always said "it ain't over til the old hag arrives"? well she's not here yet, and while I don't want to you to get your hopes up and have them dashed, keeping positive can't hurt. Can it?

Hi Hun,
Hmmm. it is going to drive you bonkers but I think you are going to have to hold out for another day (or two) and test then.

Y'know I would be very tempted to try one of the early days tests (- I'm sure others may advise against it ) - they are very sensitive and may give you some postive news to mull over until your hormone levels have increased or settled down . As you know, I'm all for getting into a positive frame of mind... even if you are later disappointed (much better than being grumpy then realising you didn't need to be!)

Are you in any pain or discomfort?

Rudolf is so right!! untill the ol B**ch is in full swing there is still every chance!!!

MMC and every month just wanna give you cuddles when you are down, bless you.. I can't imagine the pain you ladies on there are going through. Get a gooey feeling when i see those BFP's on there. It has to be your turn soon I feel it in me waters

Rudolph'sReady - you got me! I sort of thought it was proper flow but then... . I am also not using tampons this cycle and it has been so long since I used anything else that I thought that might be what is confusing me.

I hear you all about the later BFPs - all my knowledge has deserted me in my time of need!

MrMcClaus is convinced that the game isn't over. He keeps telling me when I doubt that AF is here that he has more faith than me in his boys!

I think you are right Snowy, only time will tell. I held off taking meds for that horrible headache yesterday and I was willing Af to arrive properly so that I could take some.

I can honestly say that I cannot feel anything, no pains, cramps, nothing. The headache and queasiness have gone and all that remains is the sore inflated boobs!

I'll do another test in the morning if the old hag has not announced her arrival without doubt.

Thank you all for helping me on this chilly Sunday morning!

Deffo Rudolf!! lol

And also IME the three times when I really didn't think I was PG I was. Then theres the times I Was convinced and symptom spotting and truely thought I was PG and wasn't. I tell you the body is weird.

In a strange way the lack of symptoms sound promising.

I only had the sore boobs (not even that sore) when I found out PG this time MMC

Isn't it always the case. I always find it easy to give out advice and support, and search for answers for people... but when the tables are turned and it's me that needs answers, I am so pessimistic and downtrodden it's pathetic.

I'm not saying you are pathetic MrsMc, just that I understand.

Fingers and toes and tinsel crossed!!!!

I know exactly what you mean! The mind is a very powerful thing isn't it? Just done two more tests, both cheapy dip in ones, both BFN but it was midday. Then I thought I saw a line on the earlier Boots one but it was an hour later not 5 mins so prob evaporation. Will get on with more positive things and try again tomorrow!
