About 10 mins after I took it- I did that thing where you take a second look after chucking it the bin muttering about wasting tests.

An inverted picture. What do you think? It looks clearer to me.

I don't see area line no. I can see the mark where the line would be but it's colourless

Home from work and the line is now clearer and definitely pink. Is it invalid now it's well past the window or is that a good sign?

Why did you pull the test apart? Could you not see it when the test was together?

Reason I'm asking is it looks pretty far away to me, so not where it should be, but I definitely see a line.

Also, is that result from within the timeframe?

Hi, I took it apart as I thought I could see a line but thought it could have been a shadow rather than a line. It was within the time limit (just)! It does look far apart but falls within the window.

Do another one in a day or two. The result will be more conclusive.

Or you know, do one every day for the next fortnight and start making squee noises about Christmas babies.

That's my plan, I'll probably do one tomorrow morning. I already have a January DS so that could be quite expensive!

I may be misreading your tone, but do I detect a hint of sarcasm? I hope not, because this conception lark can be quite depressing at times, and I'm trying not to get carried away it too much after a miscarriage last autumn. Such is life but I came here seeking a bit of support.

You shouldn't take a test apart as it invalidates the results and creates evaporation lines.

If you could see something with the test intact then I'd say that's a good sign. Test again in a few days.

Best of luck to you! Love the idea of a Christmas baby.

I think it was joking btw, not sarcasm. Smile

No sarcasm at all, sorry if it came across that way. I should have put a Grin at the end of my post. I said that because it's exactly what id do! I absolutely don't mean to be unsupportive - a close relative had a stillbirth recently and is now trying again so I do get how emotional ttc can be.

Fwiw my current pregnancy started with a test that looks the same as yours, so I believe you are pregnant. Congratulations!

I did think there could be something like a pink line in the place where the later pictures showed more of a pink line, but I too was squinting.

I wish you the best for two days time! X

Sorry Plonky, might be feeling a little bit tetchy today for some reason! Smile. Didn't know that about opening tests and evaporation lines.

Did an opk tonight and it came up with a very strong positive but I definitely already ovulated this month.

Now I'm just confused!

No worries MaccaPacca, I should have made myself clearer.

I've never used OPKs but I understand they can show a positive result for pregnancy. And I defy you to find a ttcer whobhasn't pulled a pregnancy test apart!Smile

I pulled a few tests apart last month macca.

When I was reading it said that there is something like a hormone strip on there that can be visible but wouldn't show through as a BFP.

Mine were grey and shadowy and not at all pink.

I'm going to try and behave this month and not dismantle any Grin

Just to update that every other test I have done has been a BFN, so it must have been either an evap or a false positive. Back on that horse then!
