Hi

My friend asked me to post this as she cany use computers and knows I am always on here

She has been ttc for over a year now and had all the tests done. The doctors said that everything looks fine except for a slight abnormality with her left tube sitting high in the uterus??? They said is she does not fall pregnant by next March they will do a laparosco.... I cant spell it!
My friend is 37, fit and healthy and DYING to conceive. I feel sorry for her and wondered if anyone out there was in the same situation?

Thank you

Has your friend ever had any abdominal surgery e.g having her appendix out for instance when younger.

If yes this may be a reason why her fallopian tube is where it is. Adhesions can be formed following any sort of abdominal surgery - these are stickly strands that tether organs together.

Adhesions can be cut out but there is always the possibility of further adhesions being formed. It goes without saying she needs to ask them lots of questions and perhaps get a second opinion.

Hello

No - she has never had any kind of operation or surgery.

She has been for all kinds of fertility tests and they all came back ok except for this one thing.

I wonder if anyone else has experienced this and fell pregnant naturally. I feel so much for as I have two dd's the second one is only 6mths so its really painful for her to be around me. I see how it effects her. She said to me today that she is so frightened that she may never have her own baby.

Surely if they can find no problems as to why she cant fall pregnant naturally that IVF would guarantee her a baby?

I had an adhesion which caused my ovary to be way out of place.
I also conceived aged 36 (20 weeks ago infact ) with only one fallopian tube.
So hopefully your friend will conceive SOON
