Is there any private lab can do AMH test only?

Hi, Girls:

I am 38 years old with mild form of autoimmune disease, had been pregnant twice since October 2013, but both ended up in early miscarriage. MRI scans already discounted issues to my womb, so autoimmune disease is likely cause.

I have been then referred to miscarriage clinic and are undergoing treatment for autimmune isssues in NHS hospital through hydrocloroxine and cortisoid and aspirin, and recently started trying to conceive as advised, without success until now.

Given my age, I am curious about my AMH level. Because I got pregnant naturally previously, haven't been offered AMH level check. Does anyone know where can I have AMH test only in self-referal lab around London (centre and southwest) or Surrey without having to go to a more expensive complete package for fertility

Hi, I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriages.

My local IVF clinic do stand alone AMH test for £100, not London but near-ish, so I imagine if you made some enquiries you would find one local to you that offers it.

I'm 38 and have also considered having it done, hence my enquiry to the clinic.

All the best for TTC, take care.

Hi, I have been to a clinic in Putney, West London and they also offer AMH tests for £70. Am not sure if you also need a consultation to go with it though.

They have a free open day on 28th March so you could go along and ask them. I found it very helpful

Good luck :)

p.s maybe you would want to consider an Antral Folicle Count which looks at your ovarian reserve via an internal ultrasound, bit more expensive though.

Thank you rooroo32

We phoned this clinic, they require a consultation. Anyway, thank you for your information, we may go to the clinic open day.

I know the London clinic I went to used The Doctors Laboratory for blood tests and I used them in a previous pregnancy for a Group B Strep test. You could enquire whether they would do an AMH test for you if you could find a nurse to take the blood and send it. But I doubt they'd interpret the results for you.

I used a clinic in tunbridge wells (not sure how convenient that would be for you). No consultation required and it cost £90. Had the results back within a week.

I ordered an AMH testkit via Cambridge Temperature Concepts.
It came in the post, I booked an appointment with the practice nurse at my local GP surgery to have the blood taken, sent it back in the post and I was contacted directly with the results.
Cost was around £40-50 (it was 2 years ago though)

Thanks to you all. I went to Pathlab on Saturday morning, took only two hours to had my result back. It cost £90, no consultation and referral letter required, quite satisfied with their service.

My AMH level is 21.7 pmol/L, search online briefly, this level is good for 38 years old. Now I can only focus on dealing with my autoimmune disease.

TWNgirl - I am thinking of getting my AMH level checked too at a private clinic. Did you use the PathLab located on Welbeck Street, London? How would you rate them? I'm really nervous as I hate blood tests, and I cant seem to find a review about them anywhere.

If anyone else used PathLab, can they also let me know. Unfortunately this clinic is the nearest 'Local' private clinic I could find. Thanks x
