Yep. I stopped the injection in feb last year, AF returned in October. Still no BFP.

one of the main side effects of the injection is the time it takes to regain fertility afterwards. Do you know if you have started ovulating again?

It took about 18 months for my periods to come back,so I presumr I wasn't fertile for at least that long.
Are you having regular periods?

Hi Gem

Sharing your pain!
I was on the injection for about 10 years
It wore off in oct 2013
No periods until may 2014
Used about 100 opk's - never had a positive
Totally erratic cycle ranging from 12 days to 32
Had a few blood tests but can't predict the right date
Being sent for a HyCoSy march 16th which I hear can help "flush" your system and can possibly give you a better chance of conceiving (so some say)

Have you had any doctors appointments?

I was advised to come off depo injection 2 years ago as apparently can tale up to 4 years to completely come out of the system - hoping to ttc this year, did fall not too long after coming off but miscarried at 8 weeks Sad

I started temping last month and got a spike plus a positive OPK so I think I am ovulating but my Leutal phase was 8 days so I'm hoping this month it lengthens.

Bloody injection is horrible. I'll never go on it again

If you have been TTC for over a year most doctors will do fertility tests on you and your partner. Have they don't this yet? You sound lucky that you started ovulating so soon and AF came back

I asked doctor this but they said they won't until after 2 years as the injection can take up to two years to come out of our system. Not good piece of mind for us ladies tho. Reading some.comments seems iaM luCky. I had to have the injection every 10 weeks tho as I wud begin To bleed if not.
Was anyone told all this about how hard to concieve afterwards I wasn't

Gem if I were you I'd go back to your doctors. Change doctors if necessary until they give you (and your partner) some tests. The first doctor I went to said they wouldn't even speak to me for 3 years until after coming off the injection. New doctor is far more reasonable. The tests seem to take for ever to happen. But at least get yourself in the system. You may be worrying and it could be your partner who has the problems.

Best of luck to you!

I'm hoping this hycosy will show up if I have any problems and if not give my fertility a boost - fingers crossed ??

They didn't make the problems it could cause later on clear to me either. If I was ever a week late for my injection they would make a really big thing of it and stress the importance of never being late again and so I never thought it would take so long for things to get back to normal. I had heard it could take 6 months to wear off fully but never thought I would be 16 months down the line of it wearing off and knowing I was not ovulating.

gem did you get back to the doctors? Have they given you any tests? Or any even better news? I had my HyCoSy and all was fine. Still not ovulating. Appointment for clomid to be prescribed on May 11th - I've never wished time away like it before. Birthday on Friday, tick tock tick tock and I'll turn 33.....
