Why not being pregnant at Christmas is awesome...

Been TTC No.1 since August, and had all sorts of heady daydreams about announcing a pregnancy over Christmas. Now that's looking increasingly unlikely, I'm looking for all the bonuses of not being pregnant right now, particularly with all the parties/family gatherings where everyone and their dog seems to be pregnant. Anyone want to join me?

So far I have mulled wine and pate....

I'll join you. Trying for #2, except it would seem my cycles have decided to be 6-7 weeks long since #1. And my lovely sister, with whom I'm spending xmas, just announced her pregnancy. I love her so much, but...
At least I can drink all the prosecco I've been storing away whenever I saw them at a reduced price!
And Baileys...

I'll give you some reasons

You wont be overly emotional and crying at every stupid little advert or any Xmas film because they are playing a sad song or whatever.

You wont have the sickness feeling or the tired feeling throughout Xmas, as well as all of the other rubbish pregnancy symptoms.

You can drink as much and eat what ever you like without the smells bothering you or wondering if you should really be eating it.

  1. Mulled wine, baileys, Xmas morning Buck's Fizz, and various other varieties of drinkie-poos.

  1. Brie, Pate, Shellfish.

  1. No morning sickness or crippling exhaustion.

  1. Super expensive presents just for you as you have at least 1 more month to save for your mat leave.

  1. No one nagging, should you be eating/ drinking that, standing there, breathing etc.

  1. Loads of shagging for that Jan BFP

Good luck ladies. Hoping to join the TTC madness again in new year, so having a blow out Christmas first (the bits I'm not working any way)

Kitty you have my sympathies. It's a real mixed bag when you're happy for someone, but feeling hard done by.

Original thanks for reminding me that once you're pregnant, everyone has an opinion on everything you do- definitely worth being grateful for not having that!

Keep it coming....

Ooh soft blue cheese... Brie... Champagne on Christmas morning... No making up excuses why you're not drinking (this would have been hardest for me)... No achy boobs when you're dancing to a bit of slade or Mariah...

Wine, Champagne, and Prosecco. Not being the des driver all the time. On the downside more of those questions of when are you going to have a baby/give us a grandchild etc.
