Metallic taste in mouth...aaah!!!

Trying to canvass some opinions about whether I am being completely loopy or whether this might be a genuine pregnancy symptom.

I'm not late yet as period isn't due for another week. But for the last week (so, since ovulation) I've had a very unusual metallic taste in my mouth...but I didn't know whether to put that down to our new kettle or the stomach bug that's been doing the rounds at work recently (or could my stomach tenderness be implantation pain maybe??) it basically all feels like I've been ovulating for about twice as long as I should be Confused

I'm a bit nervous as DP doesn't have a secure job yet and if I was pregnant, I don't know how that would affect my job (in which I'm very happy and comfortable). I would be over the moon for my first baby but obviously the financial situation is rather worrying. What do you reckon, wise MNers? :)

Definitely can be a symptom. That and sore boobs was all I had, no sickness at all. Test if you are worried.

It was one of the earlierst symptoms I had when I was pregnant.

Sorry to be thick, but I'm lost with the days since expected ovulation, days since last period etc.

Are there any tests out there that could pick up on potential pregnancy as early as a week before your next period is due (if I was PG, would that make me 3 weeks along?)

Oooh I had this big style in both pregnancies. That and sore boobs. Fingers crossed!

Its best to wait another week if that is when you are due on, so you will get an accurate result. Saying that I tested 4 days early and got the correct result anyway.

I have had a metallic taste (which hardly ever goes away) for 12 weeks, I'm 14+3 now

Update: mouth still has that numby feeling, metallic and tingling!

It went away slightly over the weekend but has come back in full force today.

Either I'm poisoning myself with the water at work or it's something more Shock

I'll wait til the weekend. I'm due on then.

I've stopped using the dodgy cheap kettle and have had no weird taste today!

Is the taste meant to be round-the-clock or does it come and go?

I've had this today too - am CD22, not sure when I ovulated but around CD13 I think. also sore nipples on and off over the last few days.

resisting the urge to test until next week!

It came and went for me, and then sort of turned into having lots of dahlia and then nausea and vomiting with both of my pregnancies.

I didn't know this was a symptom until today. For the last 2 weeks this taste has been constant. Along with annoying back pain.. Driving me insane. But now that I am a couple days late who knows. :) getting tests and waiting until this weekend just encase but hopefully :)
