Planning to start trying for number 2 next month and want to join in all the fun threads, but the acronyms and technical terms are baffling me!

I've checked the main acronym list but there seem to quite a few missing??

Can someone explain what 2ww, luteal phase and dpo are please?

Also, is the bus an actual (though metaphorical) bus, or does that stand for something too??!!

Thanks Smile

2ww= 2 week wait ie the time between ovulation and your period
Luteal phase is the same above
Dpo = days post ovulation

Not actually boarded any of the buses, but as far as I know it doesn't mean anything other than a bus! Hope this helps and good luck!

Ok...so if I got my BFP on the first day of my missed period, did I get it on 1DPO?

(was very very very bad at Biology).

The first day of your period is CD1 (cycle day 1) visualise.

So if you get a BFP on the day your period is due, that would be CD28 - or however long your cycles are. Mine are 29/30 days for example from first day of period, to last day of cycle before next period.

That BFP would (generally) be between 10 and 16dpo - depending on the length of your cycle and at which point in it you ovulate.
