Hi Smile
Don't know about pre seed... We use conceive plus... It's good (although no BFP yet!)

Best book is "taking charge of your fertility"... Very informative! X

We used conceive plus. I think they're much of a muchness but we used it for foreplay too so conceive plus in the tube suited us better than the pre-seed which generally comes with applicators to apply prior to sex.

Neither of them will 'get you pregnant but if you find line helpful they won't hinder.

I second Taking charge of your fertility - excellent book!

We had been ttc for about 8 months and used pre-seed and conceived. Am currently hugging the resultant newborn.

Now it could have been coincidence but I'd recommend it as worth a go just in case it did help.

Preseed (and ate enormous amounts of pineapple) - got pregnant first go in my late 30's.

Also used Fertility Friend online to chart for about 5 months before TTC>

Pineapple? Is that supposed to help?!

I've just ordered pressed from amazon and it came with free HPTs!

I also got the "everything getting pregnant book" which is very useful IMO!

Might be a bit late but thought I would add I have been using Conceive Plus lubricant in individual applicators (as you can get it right up next to your cervix) couldn't seem to get on with the pre-seed applicator too much of a faff for me.

I got my BFP last week! Smile

I used pre seed and successfully got pregnant, obviously no way of knowing if that helped but it can't hurt.

We use conceive plus and I just... Umm... Rub it all over DH's penis...

Am I doing this wrong? Lol BlushGrin

Well its not wrong if you like it Grin! I used conceive plus because I wasn't getting any EWCM so thought DPs swimmers could do with a bit of a helping hand on their journey. The applicators mean that you can squeeze it right up (sorry if TMI) around the cervix in the hope it was like a welcoming party Grin. I have also have a tube of it which I used around the entrance if I was feeling a bit dry just for lube purposes. I think the theory is that it mimics your fertile cm and makes it easier for the sperm to swim through...

Who knows if it works but frankly I was trying everything else so why not! As for pre-seed or conceive plus, I think they are pretty much the same - I just liked the applicator with conceive +.

Yes, I think you can use them however works for you.

My understanding is that normal lube can kill/damage sperm, whereas these ones don't. I think if you put it up high enough it will also mimic the action of EWCM...

I happened to like pineapple anyway, and then discovered that a lot of people said it helped with conception - it's the bit nearer the core apparently.

No idea if it had any effect on me, all the blood-relation women in my family seem to get pregnant just by thinking about it, but I still did get PG very fast.

We use preseed when we need a bit more lubrication but no BFP here after many months.
I can't get my head around how it can increase the odds of getting pregnant really, unless you squirt it actually up inside your cervix (which sounds like a bad idea, apart from probably being difficult and possibly painful!). Sure it might keep the swimmers going for longer in the vagina before they find their way into your cervix but once they are in there, they'll be relying on your natural cm anyway. Plus some of the swimmers will get squirted up your cervix at the crucial moment anyway, and I'm sure it will be one of those that makes it to the egg, as they are so far ahead of the game than the ones languishing around outside!!
Anyway so I'm skeptical about its claims to increase fertility but as long as it doesn't hinder I'll keep using it!

Question to those of you using pressed or conceive +...did you use lube previously? I only ask as we have never used lube before...never really needed too but sometimes I think it may make things easier...if u know what I mean.

Report
Beccadugs · 03/05/2013 23:19

Hi Bikey, occasionally we would, as things tend to dry out for me sometimes (gak!) we were also using condoms that were quite slippery so less lube needed. However I noticed that since we've been DTD bareback it is sometimes a bit site/dry at first, hence the pressed as I'd read online that normal Luba are bad for sperm!

Beccadugs · 03/05/2013 23:20

Oh bums to autocorrect, I meant preseed not pressed and lubes not Luba!
