Hi, have been ttc for one year and have had irregular period since coming off logynon. Had blood tests and a pelvic scan which were clear of anything untoward and my gp and i agreed i was stressed. I have decided go try agnus castus and would love to hear some success stories and any useful advice and tips.on how to get maximum results from using it. I am on day 50 of my current cycle, and decided to take the bull hy the horns and start them right away....... Thanks in advance xxx

Aaarrghhh, just typed out a huge detailed reply to you and bloody lost it......
Firstly, sorry to hear you are having a hard time ttc, your situation sounds quite similar to mine. My cycle was anything from 60 -100+ days. I began taking 2x 400mg agnus castus capsules from holland and Barret twice a day in October ( already 57 days from last period. Period came 18 days later ( 75 pays from last one in August). Don't know if the a.c. brought it on sooner or not.
Next period came 35 days later, next one 32days later and next one 28 days later!!!!!!!!!
Next period due 1st March and I'm quietly confident it will arrive on time or hopefully not at all as I am ttc!! You are recommended to seek advice before taking herbal supplements. Also, I believe you are only recommended to take the a.c.up to ovulation although I take it everyday. I may scale it back if my cycle continues in such a lovely regular fashion.
Good luck with ttc! Hope this helps Wink

Actually just realised that I have replied to you before on this topic sorry for spilling it all again!! I remember now that you were considering taking them before. I think I told you about my cycle reducing to 32 dayys by that point and I was awaiting the next one so at least you can see that it had reduced further to 28 days.
I hope you don't get anyone waving fivers about this time Wink Wink Wink

Hi, sorry to ear that you have been having problems! I have not tried ac but I read a post from a natural fertilty expert recently who mentioned ac as a natural fertility aid, I will put link to post at end. May be worth a read or maybe contacting her? hope this helps, good luck !!! forum.prideangel.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=581

I would consult with a herbal specialist and only take AC under strict supervision. I've read far too many tales of women who have suffered side effects/altered cycles using it.

No advice OP but just wanted to say I'm about to try the same thing.

My situation is similar to yours although my cycles are around 35 days plus but are getting longer and are a bit erratic. Am going to try the AC up to ovulation (using OPK's) and see how it goes.

Am happy to report back and compare notes to see if it makes a difference if anyone's interested?
