Hiya

I'm quite a newbie but wondered if anyone can help with this?

DH has very low count and poor motility after vas reversal, just read that lubes can interfere with motility and have seen some specialist (aka expense!) ones such as pre-seed. Anyone had any experience of these, are they worth it?

Thanks

CM

Hello

I haven't had experience of the pre seed one, but I have just ordered the conception one from amazon! I know normal lubes can slow down sperm so I would stay away. Amazon is a good place to get things a bit cheaper! Good luck !

We have just ordered some pre-seed too! Does anyone know if there is any OBJECTIVE medical reviews about the effectiveness or otherwise of this??

Don't know about Pre-seed, but I have just bought Conceive Plus from Boots, I can't remember exactly how much it cost I'm afraid. It comes in a tube and you apply as much or little as you like (I think pre-seed is in applicators?) This is the first month using it and it's really good on the lube front, as for the conception bit, will let you know!

In terms of science, there's some blurb on their website:

I'm not sure if the above lubricants HELP when ttc (apart from the obvious helping with the SWI - I mean they don't help the sperm swim), but rather the other more easily available types definitely compromise semen quality. When men provide semen analysis specimens they are specifically asked not to use lubricants.

We are using pre-seed too and it seems very comfortable compared to ones we've used in the past. I got it off Amazon as well.

Well, I am sad to say I have no experience ...yet. I ordered some of amazon like I said and had it delivered to DP as he is overseas and I didn't want to carry it through customs Blush but when I went to visit him this weekend it hadn't arrived Angry. So I will have to wait till next time now :)

I think the PH in them is nice and kind to sperm, don't think it helps them to swim, but it doesn't kill them off either !!
