Hi I'm new to this.

Here it goes. i stopped my depo 28/5/09 and not period or not conceived yet! 1/6/10 had bleeding unsure if period not normal period lasted for 5 days. did ovulation sticks np positive results there. meanwhile in may 2010 GP ref us to st marys to gyne consultant to possibly get clomid or whatever he decides. had scan ovaries fine and blood test all good just body was not having periods may 2010. so now i had a light period 1/6/10 lasted 5 days and now i had my 2nd period 7/7/10 which was quiet heavy but today its very light as its finishing. my appt with the gyni doc at the hospital is on 17/8/10 was meant to be on the 22/7/10 but they booked me into the wrong clinic so had to wait a further 6 weeks for the 17/8/10 appt nevermind atleast i have had 2 periods since tried ovulaltion calender at 1 period 1/6/10 not preg and ovulation sticks alway negative and worked hard with my husband everyday too. no good news. so will try this month again but will go to doctor ask for blood tests again to check ovulation or hormone levels. i am 36 16/7/10 and want a baby asap and want altleast 5 kids but not even happening with 1 yet. i have a son who's 15 years old who is lovely just now i want to have a family with my husband of 4 years, he's great.anyone have any experiences.my gp says maybe i will be preg before the hospital appt 17/8/10.plus i'm scared of being preg its been such along time.

Hi choney...I had a year of depo injections (4 in total) and then took me 3.5 years to fall pg with my third!! Tried clomid had all sorts of checks and tests...then booked into see consultant for ivf but decided on a course of accupuncture (which I thought would try as didnt want to go ivf route really and also it was a cheaper option!! - had about 10 sessions) which regulated everything again and it worked.
Very distressing for 3.5 years - its something to do with the projesterone from the depo stays in your body for a long time -very few people will get lucky and fall fairly easily but for the majority 18 months + is the norm....
Hoep it happens soon
