my ds(7) have been pulling his ears and they were geting really messy,so I took him to GP to have them checked. Was told that it was just water that got its way in and to just leave it.
well it now been going on for weeks,my ds is still pulling his ears and they are getting smelly.
anyone has any experience with that?
my ds is severy autistis and visits to GP are difficult,so dont want to go back unless there is something they can do about it .
thanks

If it's just water then it will dry out but if it's that mucky stuff then you may want to try Hopie ear candles but you may want to check if they are suitable for your DC's ages.
The way they work is that you have a thin tube with herbal leaves in it you put the tube in the ear and burn the leaves, this removes the muck from in the ear. It doesn't burn the ear it's more of a warm feeling. You can get it over the net around £6

Please make sure they are suitable for your DC's age first though.

Thank you for your response.I have been waiting for the water to dry out but its just taking so long.Im also worried about the smell.
Thanks for the ear candles suggestion but its not something I would be able to do with my ds.
He is severy autistic and wouldnt be able to cooperate with this.

if it's getting smelly I would suspect an infection, so would def go back to the GP, or at least ring and speak to a doctor for more advice
