Is this a bug (I know there are some lovely ones out there at the moment) or should I be more concerned?
DD2 (16mo) has been ill with D&V since Thursday:
Early hours of Thurs wakes crying, I go in and she's thrown up everywhere. By the time she has been hosed down, bedding changed etc it is after 3am and she finally settles.
Thursday we wake up to a nappy full of diarrhoea (sp?). By late Thursday she is a lot better, only one more vom incident in the morning, drinking plenty of weak juice & water, no more overflowing nappies and she grazes on bland food which stays put.. She has a small amount of pasta for tea and seems to enjoy it...
Early hours of Friday same again, wakes in the early hours having thrown up everywhere. No nasty nappies...
Friday she is okay - not much appetite, but drinking plenty. Has a few mouthfuls of chicken for tea.
No night waking, no throwing up, no nasty nappies. Out of the woods we think...
Yesterday she is back to normal, eating okay, loads of energy no poorly stuff and has her fave spag bol for tea.
Early hours of this morning, wakes crying having thrown up everywhere again . Settles fairly quickly but then throws up again just as she's falling asleep, nasty nappy at the same time.
She is a bit off this morning, and we've had another overflowing nappy but no vomiting. Drinking ok and grazing on toast, banana etc.
The thing that is worrying me a bit is the gaps in the vomiting - if it is a bug surely she would be sick repeatedly and not just at night? Also, here is the tmi bit, what she throws up is pretty much totally undigested. So last nights spag bol lay in her tummy for 8hrs before making it's return.
Do I need to take her to the gp or just keep an eye on her?
