Advice needed. Is this reflux or something else?

I need some advice as I'm worried about my DD who is 4 weeks old and thought the wise MNetters might be able to help. Also to say, I'm trying to get an appointment with my GP but wanted some advice before I go to see him.

A couple of weeks ago my DD had a couple of vomiting episodes where she brought up what seemed like the entire contents of her stomach. I put it down to me having eaten some spicy food (she is exclusively breast fed). She's also had quite a lot of what I thought was colic from birth so have had her on infacol and to try and help decided to cut out milk from my diet at the same time (both my DH and I have problems with milk so thought this could be the culprit). All seemed a little better for a few days, she stopped vomiting but was still quite gripey. However, it's all started again with a vengeance. She is really unhappy in the evenings, she is crying inconsolably and seems to want feeding constantly but when I put her to the breast, she feeds for a few seconds, cries, beats me with her fists and is in obvious pain and latches on and off. She has also had further vomiting episodes. At first I put it down to the fact that she was getting so upset and latching on and off all evening that she was getting bad wind and making her self sick with crying and/or over feeding (as she'll feed all evening on and off if she can - usually between 8:30 and and 11:30 ish). Last Thursday and for the the last two nights she has brought up the entire contents of her stomach again. Last night she was calm all evening and still brought up everything. What she's bringing up is curdled milk but also a lot of mucus and it comes out with such force it comes out of her nose and at velocity from her mouth (sorry if TMI). The rest of the time she's very happy, she doesn't seem to vomit during the day at any point and so it's only ever evening and mornings. She's sleeping well and doesn't seem to be in discomfort at other times. The other thing I've noticed is that even if she brings up only a little bit of milk, it's definitely retching rather than burping milk up and it also has a lot of mucus with it.

Any one got any ideas/experience that might be able to give me some advice/ideas on what this could be?

she could have a stomach bug which affect an empty tummy in morning and when she has a lots at night could be irating it my little niece was bringing milk up and mucus and doc gave them infacal and gripe water ,if been going on for a while either take her to baby hospital to be checked out as they be able to do more her there . hope she get better soon .

it does sound a bit like reflux.go and see doc to see if he will presribe some infant gaviscon sachets.
