DS has just run in (while I am attempting conference call because I had to come home to pick him up from school early - unrelated incident...) in a complete panic- he has swallowed a coin size bead thing that he has been carrying around with him. Do I worry? Have currently told him it will come out in his poo and we had a little giggle, so he is reassured but is that all right??

He is 4.6 by the way.

Thanks for any reassurance, kicks up arse to get off phone, reprimands for terrible parenting...

Thanks Pixie! I did in fact phone NHS direct as I couldn't settle, but they pretty much said what we both thought.
Fortunately I've seen this thing which I have failed so many times to describe(!) a lot as he has been carrying it around for days, so I knew it was pretty smooth, which gave me some reassurance.
I just have to keep an eye on his poo over the next days...oh joy.
