Is the vaseline not working?

Felt bad because noone had replied to yours

Nappy cream of the bepanthen/drapolene/fancy olive oil-beeswax variety that we've been given here. Seems to work.

And chapstick instead of vaseline for under snotty nose and sometimes on chin - nice and portable but I guess it's the same idea.

And have you tried those dribble bibs - the ones that are shaped like bandanas and are sewn with darts in the top layer to sit up high under the chin so as to catch the dribble?

Bandana Bibs

Lots of other colours and vendors on eBay too - this one just shows the structure best

Blimmin' expensive, but beware of the ones that sit in a more flat way (often much cheaper) because they don't work.

And probably DIY patterns out there too, or fancy clever ways of tying something like a scarf.

drapolene was a god send when my eldest was little, it took the redness down alot. i made sure that i put it on when he was asleep also so he didnt rub it off and it got a chance to work while he was asleep.

i hope it gets better soon
