DS still popping at night

Last time I posted there were lots of hilarity but I am getting worried now. It isn't every night that his bottom makes a popping sound, but he wakes up and cries. I rub his legs and tummy and try and move him but nothing works and I have to just leave him to settle himself. He is almost 4.

So we are talking trapped wind right? does it happend after eating certain foods? Might be worth keeping a food diary to see if there is a link - could be something he is having difficulty digesting.

That's what DH thinks. No set pattern from what I can see. Only used to happen after being at PIL but has happened when here too.

Ok, I get it now, sorry!

warm bath before bed? That helps with wind.

Can you get windeze type stuff for children? I imagine you can because it's the same stuff as infacol for babies. Could you try that?

If he is having difficulties digesting something it might be something he ate the day before, not necessarily something he ate today ? so I found a food diary was really handy when my ds was constipated in figuring that out...also not to be too intrusive but is he going to the toilet ok?

He goes once a day, always surprised how big his bowel movements are, has a bladder the size of France (like his sister.)
