My Sister in law dips her small baby's dummy in guinness and she's only 7mths old, don't know how long she's been doing it.
My Sister in law has liver probs from prev heavy wine drinking and thinks it's ok to dip her little one's dummy in alcohol. She had abnormal liver test results during her pregnancy( although she didn't drink much if at all during) so my Sister in law had a planned induction due to this 3 weeks early.

It's illegal, unless it for a medical emergency and I don't agree with what she's doing at all. I have told her this but she says now and again it won't harm!

My father in law also offered my 2 year old girl some bitter recently and I told him she's too young for that and I don't want her having it.

Seems to be a tradition in my in laws, but I don't want to be a part of it.

she might have only done it the once when you were there
I wouldnt worry about a 2 yr old having a sip of bitter, she'd ahte it and never have any of it again
