I don't think so. What if he came into contact with someone who is pregnant and she catches it?

Depends what you mean by "public". It can potentially be dangerous at certain stages of pregnancy if a woman isn't immune, also if you were inadvertently in contact with someone whose immune system was compromised for some reason.

I would take my dc out, but we have some fairly rural woods/fields etc nearby and I would keep them away from other people. I would definitely not take them shopping, to soft play etc.

It is highly likely that some of his friends will have it too, might be worth ringing round and arranging some playdates with other infected dcs?

No, it is not okay.

Immunocomprimised people and pregnant women without immunity are at great risk.

Please don't.

Don't impose the risk of infection on other unwitting people. Stick to visiting friends who have already had chicken pox, or going to relatively isolated places (eg country walks) where he won't come into close contact with others.

Has your nephew had it? Can he come over to play and escape for a while?

I would LOVE to share our bugs with my little gorgeous fella!!!
He would love to come and share with us.

Last time he came to play, i took them to the cinema and then they came home for a party tea, and he said to my sis "XX has a great life, i wish i had XX life"
About my son, bless him
