DD (11m) has thrown up everything she has eaten today - should I still give her BF before bed?

I've felt rough today and DS was sick twice on Tuesday, now DD has thrown up three times today - everything she has eaten (it looks like ). There's a bug going round so we have that I suppose.

She had toast for tea and has just thrown that up too. I usally give her BF at 7pm (before bed) - should I do that? She has had quite a bit of water today (and thrown some of that up too ). If I BF her won't she just throw that up too? All over her clean cot sheets and after her (second) bath.

BF is meant to be fine (if not good) with a sick bug, I've always bf mine as normal when ill.

AFAIK , breast milk is the one thing that you should give a vomity child, if you can.

how long after eating is she throwing up? can you feed her naked, wrapped in a towel, then sit up with her for a bit?

when mine were sicky, i used to cover their cot sheets with a couple of towels and use towels instead of or on top of the blankets, so if they were sick, i was not using all the bedding up.

She had a BF at about 4.30, then had toast and a drink of water at 5.15 and then threw the water and toast up at about 5.45.

I might put her twin to bed first and then BF her and then give her 10 mins and then bath her and put her to bed. Good idea with the towels. Thanks.

Oh yes I always layer the bedding when they are ill too, so towel, sheet, towel, sheet, towel, sheet-that way you can just strip off the top layer (the towel usually stops it going any further down) and not have to remake the bed at 3am.

Yes do feed her.
And agree re the layering bedding thing, makes life easier.
I also have always had our DSs in our bed with us if they are sick, am paranoid about them choking on their own vomit - had a bad experience with DS2 recently when he was sick when having a rest in his pram, vomit everywhere and he could have inhaled it...

Thanks for all your replies. She was fine in the night, wasn't sick at all and slept till 5am, had a feed and then slept till 8am. She has eaten a bit today and not been sick so I think we are over it now.
