Yep, happened to my dd1. I thought it couldn't happen but GP confirmed it.Thankfully she had a mild dose, just spots and a fever and "off colour" for a few days.

If your dc has a rash and suspect measles then it may be best to get it confirmed with the GP?

btw it was about a year after her MMR in case that is relevant to your enquire.

I was going to ask the same.

My son has an itchy rash on his body. I am taking him to the GP tomorrow morning.

No fever and generally happy.

Ime rashes are difficult to diagnose. 2 or 3 times I "diagnosed" cpox with dd1 (it was going round the nursery) but when checked out as I wasn't sure it was just a an unspecified viral rash and not cpox.

my dd often gets a rash with a cough/cold malfoy.

I know. I suspect I will turn up at the surgery & they will think "paranoid mother".

He doesn't even have a cough.

Perfectly possible as the vaccination is not 100% effective - it is only 80-90% effective (i.e. 10-20% of children are not effectively immunised after having had the vaccination)

Mil said it is milder because of immunisation.
