sleeping in grobag when feverish....was i stupid? feel terirble

did i do the wrong thing last night to leave him with 39 fever buit just having taken meds in a winter grobag?? was worried that over night he would cool right down if had nothing
he would shiver....

all worried he may have had a convulsion during night last night

tonight fever still on and he is in pjs only - looking cold! has fever of 39.5 still!!!

hope i didnt do him harm keeping him snug

i was ill last week and all i wanted was to be warm even thoughb had fever

Strip him off and give calpol-put a light sheet on if needs be THEN call NHS direct.

Poor bumbly, its a no-win, isn't it? I agonized when dds were that age and had fevers. In the end, I found a light summer grobag best, and then I would go in and take their temps without waking them...if it was up, I'd leave them be, if down, and it was cold in the room, I'd add a blanket which I could easily whip off - or which they'd lose from tossing and turning if feverish.

But its a tough one, I bet you're sleep deprived by now. Hope he's better soon.
