Brushing teeth???

I have a 15 month old DD. I have given her a tooth brush to play with in the bath ever since she got teeth but was wondering when I need to do actively brushing her teeth. She only has front 8 so far.

I actively brush teeth from the moment they appear - at least, as much as I can when they are trying to bite the toothbrush. Don't use toothpaste till they are about a year. Mine all got their teeth earlier mind (starting about 5-6 months)

I do it with 13-month dd but usually forget in the morning. Have done since first two - though not very strictly. I am naive and hope this will mean fewer objections later on.

We started from 2-3 teeth, though they were both late deveopers. It just makes it easier to get into an early habit twice a day then they know what is good practice and don't protest. My second was less keen for a short period when his back teeth were coming up (understandably) but with both when very small I lay them with head in my lap so they could see me whilst I cleaned and now both (2 and 5) stand up at sink and are really good on their own although we obviously supervise!
