Ds is 4 and has recently been rummaging in his underpants at the back mainly and said he has a tickle in his bottom. Now i have checked for threadworms and have suffered myself with them, so i do know what i'm looking for. He has been scratching not just at night. I've also noticed in his pj bottoms in a morning they seem to have a bit of a discharge, where he has been scratching dried on.(sorry if tmi). What could it be?
Oh also on sunday after he got out of the bath he had a rash on his bottom, about 10 spots on his cheeks, then some scattered on the hip and thigh. He doesn't wear any night time pants and is fully dry. Any suggestions? TIA

go to your gp. If you're at all worried it's better to be safe. And if it turns out to be just a minor irritation, you could at least get a prescription for a cream.
