Agh my 5mth old won't stop crying

third day of high temp, calpol ok, can't sleep prperly,. cant feed properly (though is taking in fluids). been crying at nighgt (unusual) but easily comforted.

been to dr this morningand typically he was all smiles and no temp so i though maybe hew was over it - dr diagnosed sore throat.

seriously dont know wha5 to do. he is incxonsolable. feeds for 10secs then pullsd away. solid crying noiw doe maybe 20mins?????

oh thank god for that. he is now feeding properly and i assumre going to sleep.

so to hear him so distressed and you can't do NYTHing. i hate the baby stage.

No real advice Im afraid..but yes, its horrible when they are out of sorts like this. Hopefully he is coming thro the worst of it now if he has calmed..? Fingers crossed for a better night for you both.

And yes, what is it about going to the doctors that makes poorly children all smiles...? The number of times I have looked like a neurotic idiot!!

Thanks for replying.

I know about the smiling ar doctors and feeling stupid, I mentioned my firstborn about twenty times (ie he isn't my PFB) and am so desperate not to look neurotic that I just downplay everything, but that prob makes me look more neurotic...

He is asleep on me now, but am gonna have to try and put him down - stupidly got the presents out on the bed to wrap as dd is out with dh - so got to attempt to hide before she gets back
