DS has lost front baby tooth, but has a flap of gum left hanging down??

His front tooth came out, but he has been left with a flap of gum (presumably the bit that was inside the tooth) hanging down!

Looks like a mini red tooth!
Looks pretty gruesome actually....

Will it shrink & go away??
