DS(6) had an abcess in one of his back molars and the dentist has said it would be best to remove it as "there was a big nerve there and it was easy for it to die". He had a small filling about a year ago. DH thinks they have been negligent and if they had filled the tooth properly he wouldn't have to have his teeth removed.
Should I take him somewhere else for a second opinion?
I also feel somewhat guilty and a bit puzzled - have always brushed DS's teeth morning and night, and limited sweet intake (not fruit or fruit juice though). Should I have given him flouride tablets to strengthen his teeth a bit more?
