We're in France and last night our 3 yo went to bed early, feeling tired. He woke up a couple of hours later feeling ill and vomited a couple of times. We thought he may have had too much sun over the day as it was very hot and he's been in the pool a lot. But be was also complaining of a sore throat and had a high temp.

He slept through the night ok, and wasn't sick anymore but had one v loose nappy. This morning he's a lot more himself and has had some dry toast and water, but has had another loose nappy and is still saying he has a sore throat. He has a few spots on his face and arms- not many - but there have been a lot of mosquitos about as well. Any suggestions?

Keep him hydrated and give him some child paracetamol (I wouldn't recommend child nurofen as can make his tummy worse).
Let him eat and drink whatever he wants (obviously not loads of pop or sweets).
If he gets worse then take him to the doctors.
We are away atm (not abroad though) and my 21 month old had a temp of 40.3 on Monday, he seems fine now though.
