3 year old with possible scoliosis

I took 3 year old DS to the Drs last week as the week before I'd noticed a bump in his chest. Honestly thought the Dr would say it's nothing to worry about but she said she thinks it's scoliosis and has referred him to paeds.

I'm not sure exactly when it developed but it definitely wasn't there 2 months ago as he was checked over by a paediatrician at the CDC (he has other additional needs). Since going to the Drs I've had a look whilst getting him to bend his head forward (as the Dr did) and can see that one shoulder blade is higher than the other. She also said that she can see it in his back at the same level as his chest although I can't see it.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of scoliosis in a toddler?

My 16 month old has congenital scoliosis, and it was picked up at my 20 weeks scan as she has a hemivertebrae. There are some Facebook groups for support, scoliosis friends and SAUK are a good place to start.

Sorry! I've only just seen your reply. Hope your DD is doing well.

Thank-you - I'll have a look at those groups.
