My baby daughter (nearly 16 weeks) has got a painful white round blister in her mouth on her lower gum. She cries if it is touched and she is generally not herself. The same thing happened 3 weeks ago and that time the blister was as big as a grain of risotto rice - it looked like it might have been a tooth coming through but when the HV pressed it, it burst and pus or some other gunk came out. After that she was much better but the HV sent me to the dentist who had never seen it before but did find another smaller blister on her lower gum. He burst that one and my daughter was back to her cheery self within an hour or two.
Now another one has appeared and the dentist still doesn't know what it is. She is so young that she does not put stuff in her mouth yet apart from a teething ring or her fingers so it is not due to having punctured her gum etc.
Has anyone else had this? I was wondering if it could be some sort of immunitary response to her 2nd batch of jabs a week ago, as the previous batch was not that long before the first time we had the issue.
I would be grateful for any suggestions!
