We have one of the teeth with the root and took her to the emergency dentist but they couldn't fix it as she wouldn't sit still (she is autistic).
Is it worth trying somewhere else today or is it now too late to reattach?
The tooth is still kept in milk just in case.

Couldn't they sedate her? Does she go to a dentist that specialises in treating ppl with SN?

It's too late now really, it needs to be done within a few hours as the sockets start healing very quickly.

fugg , A&E may have been able to sedate her but if she can't sit still, perhaps you could suggest how she could be sedated in a dental practice as an emergency patient? IV? I'm not sure that would be a good idea.

OP, the window is a few hours only really. how old is DD?

I was sedated through gas before using a mask? Just an idea anyway if she was distressed.

Dd is 13. They didn't have anything to sedate her - it was the emergency dentist we saw. She wasn't a special needs specific dentist - but was very good with dd. Dd's usual dentist place closed and I lost track. So she hasn't had a regular dentist for over a year now. I need to get her re-referred.

Must be really upsetting. Will she have to get an implant now?
