Do you eat fruit? Do you like it? If she sees you eating it and enjoying it she's more likely to want to. I would just keep offering and letting her see you eating fruit and if you don't want her to eat chocolate often don't give her it except occasionally.

Chocolate doesn't taste better though. Some Chocolate is nice and some fruit is nice.

Could you give your DD some 90% coco chocolate to see if she finds that a bit dark and bitter and then offer something like tinned fruit in syrup as a sweet alternative. Once shes accepted eating fruit can be nice moving on to taste different fruits should be easier.

What about dried fruits like sultanas, dried flakes, very sweet dried fruits like pinapple or yogurt coated raisons? What about jam or strawberry sauce on an icecream?

Mine love red white and blue fruit kebabs which consist of strawberry blueberry and mini marshmallow. They also like dipping fruit kebabs or berry fruits in melted chocolate.

Its a great time of year for berry picking. Blackberries are just in season and warm off the bush are at their sweetest. Strawberry and raspberrys are available at pick your own farm type places. If picking your own creates an interest later in the month the apple season starts and you can do all sorts of fun things with apples.

Does she eat vegetables?
If so, don't worry about it. Veg is much better for you than fruit (lower sugar), so she can eat veg and salad.

I wouldn't link the chocolate and the fruit. But I wouldn't offer chocolate instead of fruit, if she doesn't want the fruit then fine but don't offer an alternative.

Don't make an issue of it though or it will be a battle of wills
