HELP! Could this be meningitis?

DD's got a localised rash on her legs that doesn't fade with the glass test and I'm panicking.

But she seems otherwise fine and smiley and only has a mild temperature if anything. Can meningitis present as a rash with no other symptoms?

I went to the GP the other day with her having a blue tongue, terrified that it could be a heart or lung thing, and she just had thrush. I'd be so mortified if I rushed in again and it's just acne or something. :( My DH thinks I'm being very PFB.

Never be afraid to get help if there is any doubt. Minutes can be the difference between life and death. I personally would suspect your daughter would be poorly if this was meningitis, but you should get advice and do so urgently if you haven't to be safe. I never thought it would happen to us, my daughter is a very lucky survivor of septicaemia.

A child with meningitis won't be happy smiley, they will be very unwell so please don't panic! It's best to get any unknown rash checked, so maybe give the out of hours a call and take it from there.

No-one's going to tell you off for being cautious, far better that than waiting and worrying.

Get advice or better still go to A&E. If it's nothing to worry about then all you'll have done is erred on the side of caution. If it is your DD will get all the help she needs quickly, which is the important thing.
