New born Baby with a swollen forehead

My dd is 4 weeks old and for last 2ish weeks I have noticed her forehead is swollen , I asked the health visator last week and she didnt even look at it she just said it looks normal from here.
I know I am most probably being paranoid but has anyone experienced this and what did it turn out to be ?, I am going to call doctor in the morning or other health visator at the surgery.
I have attached picture to show the swelling.

Oh, what a gorgeous baby.. well done Grin

I do see what you mean, although it is probably just the way she is.

What does it feel like? Does it feel spongy like a swelling?

It does look swollen. Do you have any pics of when before the swelling began that you could show hv/GP?
I would get a second opinion if it's worrying you.

She is very cute btw :)

Thanks :D she is cute even with her swollen head , it feels spongy and it doesnt seem to bother her just concerned as its came from nowhere.

This pic is when she was about 2 weeks old so just before it appeared.

Yes I probably would get it looked at... trust your instincts.

Take the last photo you've put up to show your GP and say your concerns. Hopefully it's nothing but I wouldn't blame you for getting it checked and no doctor minds checking over a newborn.

Thanks gamerchick dh thinks im paranoid I will phone in morning try get appointment asap , racking my brain for explanation for it , it was csection so no head trauma during delivey only other thing I can think of is it might be link to her sinuses as she has been really stuffed up and mucusy but arent all newborns ?

my first reaction was just that she is raising her eyebrows and that's causing the skin to bunch up ( if she was our age she'd have forehead wrinkles!)

however if it feels puffy then I'd ask the HV or GP to have a look. no harm in asking ever.

See when it comes to newborns it doesn't matter if we seem a little paranoid.. If we don't get these little niggles checked out then it just pounds our head.

You can't put a price on peace of mind I don't think. Do come back and update afterwards though.
