I'm concerned about DD, just turned five.
Two weeks ago she was sent home from school with 'sickness' after fruit and milk time. I thought she was faking it. Two days later, she was sick again quite badly. She was then clear for three days but eating less than half what she would normally eat. She was sick again Monday, Tues and Thursday of that week. Again yesterday. Always after food.
DP and I wondered if she may have an allergy of some kind. Possibly dairy, as it seems to happen more after dairy foods. She's completely off cereal at the moment through her own choice, and I notice after yogurts it can go either way. Cheese she seems ok with.
I weighed her today and she has lost just over 7lbs in the last two weeks. She was solid before, so is more like a trimmer version of herself which is probably a good thing. She is very active - swimming, cycling, walking etc. I am concerned though that if she continues to loose such weight it isn't good for her.
Will doctor run an allergy test? When i took her two weeks ago, they put it down to a mild stomach bug as she had no other signs of illness. However, the sickness seems to come and go. She's usually such a good eater, and she's still off her food which isn't usual for her at all. I'm beginning to be concerned she thinks the eating will make her sick again.
