I have had a real torid time just lately, between the family not sleeping, constant illness and needing some general advice and support I have written my local health visitor off as a 'lost cause'. I have left countless messages, had no ring back, I went to clinic a waited a life time only to be offered the chance to self weigh my Own bubba, before being ushered out the door!
So i have decided to bite the bullet and go private! But how do I decide who? I found a few who seemed really genuine, one of them is a man. Not sure I know how I feel about it. No different to a male Gp or nurse I guess, but still unusual. I spoke to DH and he didn't seemed to bothered, as long as he delivers? A few friends I spoke to suggested I ring and ask a few questions over the phone. This is the link i found www.privatehealthvisitoruk.co.uk there were a couple of women as well but they seemed more interested in selling complicated 'packages of contacts', I don't know I want to sign up to loads of visits, I might only need a few.
Has anyone come across this person? Or had any experience of them? Have you used a private health visitor and if so how did you get on? Was it worth the money?
Sorry for all the questions, I just want to do my homework before making any decisions?
